Facebook Connect

A Facebook technology that allows a reader to log into a third-party website with their Facebook account, instead of creating a new profile on that website. Facebook Connect, an API, also allows third parties to extract certain information from a user's profile, such as: B. their name and age. In turn, the activities of the readers on the website can also be seen on their Facebook profile. Launched in 2007, Facebook Connect was one of the first examples of how Facebook became a web platform. (See also OAuth, OpenID)
