Anonymously it's called a skateboard ... with a handle. On the other hand, it does nothing more. The spark wheel is the closest thing to the 80's, a real skateboard with only a welded system (80's, maybe Korean) but for some reason it stopped. I didn't find it on eBay or Amazon. Someone has the old Variflex you are looking for. Everyone said that after sending the rusty and worn 80 it would cost $ 75. I wanted to pay $ 25 for that, but not $ 75. I live near a metalworking shop so I was going to see how much it would cost to weld circular file plates into two tubes made specifically for BMX grips. I'm not optimistic.

It's like asking why there is a company called Plan B or Toy Mae ... it's just skateboarding culture and maybe some external factor has influenced the name. Skateboards are great for girls.
